“Days Inn stay”

I rated my stay at your Days Inn as poor because of the fact that (1) your housekeeper left the door to our room opened and had not even serviced our room; she had only emptied the two trash cans that we left sitting near the door and then she left it propped open. She did not replenish the towels, nor make the beds, nor provide any other amenities; i.e., soap or shampoo, etc. on that day. It must have been left open for some time (so that anyone could have entered the room); her cart was nowhere in site, so she obviously had no intention of returning to that side of the hotel on that day. Upon reporting the incident to the front desk clerk, she rudely stated, "Why didn't you report it sooner?!" I told her it was because some people were waiting for us to take us somewhere & we were on a tight schedule (we were actually already behind schedule), but I made a point of telling the desk clerk as soon as possible. She made no apology whatsoever. I will say that the head manager was very kind and apologetic when we spoke with her about it later; I appreciated her concern. This has never happened to any of us at any other hotel, nor at any other Days Inn where I have previously stayed. (2) You ran out of some breakfast items too quickly including coffee & juice on some days; the bananas appeared to be rotten; you did not have any low-fat milk; only whole milk & eggs only on one day out of the 5 that we were there. I most enjoyed the bagels & cereal. Thank you for the opportunity to express my opinion on this matter.
