“Customer Service Lacking”

We stayed at your hotel and thought it was great at first. Then when I went to shower for the evening, I was dressed and ready for bed, including having my teeth brushed, and went to blow my hair dry and the dryer was not working. We figured no big deal that they would send one up. When we called the front desk clerk instantly got defensive and was not courteous at all. My husband asked for a blow dryer to be brought up and he first said he could not leave the desk b/c he was the only one there and then he informed us that there wasn't a blow dryer to bring up. That is absurd. He then told me I would have to go to another room, on the other side of the hotel, literally, and I was already dressed for bed. All I had left to do was blow my hair dry before going to bed and then to have to go outside, chilly night, down the steps, across the courtyard, to another room was not a good solution. However, if the clerk had handled it differently, it could have been a satisfactory solution. His attitude literally ruined the night for us. He also informed us that we had very limited time because people were checking in any minute!! He was not nice at all about it and said he knew it was ridiculous and my husband I went down the steps into the lobby and were loudly discussing how ridiculous this was and some guy who was working on your property actually called me a b****! He went out the front door and the front desk clerk denied it though I heard it loud and clear. Of course I was upset and had a right to be. Of course things happen and that was the only issue and if he had been kind and thoughtful and chose his words and tone more carefully, it would not have ruined our night. Also, the HBO Guide in the room was for the month of Sept and we were in Oct and of course the front desk clerk blamed it on HBO and said they hadn't delivered them yet. When staying in a hotel room these guides should always be in there and up to date so when we turn on the tv and see a movie we have been wanting to see already had started, then we could look in the guide and see when it came on next and possibly get to watch it. This is not something that I would normally complain about but since I have a major complaint, I wanted to add it in. Also, we travel a LOT and it is extremely rare for me to take the extra step to write up a poor review but it was well earned.
