“Great location but hotel looks tired”

  , Hewitt
Great location for local restaurants & Fort Jackson. Front desk friendly but day time grew did not really know much about there local area. Night shift really shined with being very helpful with local pizza places that deliver and just doing the extra mile to help. Hotel brochure rack only had a few local restaurants need more local items to see and things to go on it. Only one desk clerk on duty on evening and night shift and needs to leave front desk to help with guest needs. No security onsite either. No ice machine on the floors needed to go down to the main lobby. Room was large with clean carpets, nice to have refrigerator and microwave in room. TV are old and need to be replaced. Beds are just ok but pillows are flat. Bathroom was clean but sink needs to be replaced with many scratches and stains. Bathtub had no plug so could only take a shower. Typical hotel towels nothing fancy. Housekeeping needs to back off of the order spray. Overpowering when entered the room like they were trying to cover up other smells. Nice working desk in hotel room with FREE wireless Internet. Had wake up calls and they were on time. Breakfast attendant not very pleasant. No good morning, no can I help you. Did not feel welcome at all with this employee. Out of all the hotel staff this was one person that does not need to be in the hospitality industry. She maybe better working in another area then the hotel then in the pubic view. She was more worried about speaking with the night audit employee then talking care of the guest. We as guess really do not want to hear about hotel/employee business. Need to be more professional. Breakfast was ok. Eggs, Sausage, Biscuits and Gray, toast, beagles, cereal, waffle, juice and coffee. Inside pool area was ok. The best thing about the hotel was the location and clean rooms. Most negative was the breakfast employee.
