“Terrible!!”

We have stayed at this location before and it wasn't too bad. Upon arriving this time, we discovered that the hotel was undergoing construction and the restaurant was closed. We arrived at 6:00 pm and had not had supper yet. My kids were very hungry. We checked in, went up to the room we were given and it was a one bed room. There were 4 of us and this was not what I had booked. I book in advance for a reason. So I lugged all of our things and my children back down to the lobby and got a new room. The lady asked us if we used to room. Seriously??? We were gone for maybe 2 minutes. We lugged all of our stuff us to the new room only to discover that neither of my keys worked. I was very upset at this point. I went right back down to the lobby (not even 2 minutes after getting this new room) and the lady gives us new keys and tells me to keep them away from magnetic things and my phone. OMG!! I literally took the elevator up, tried my keys and came back down, but it was ME who somehow made my keys not work in that time frame?? Once we got into the room we were hit with massive heat! It was unbearable!! End of November and we had to crank the AC and open the window for hours just the get our room at a tollerable temperature. We were going to order food from the hotels lounge but after looking at the insane prices on the menu and then reading that they charge a 15% gratuity on every bill, we decided to order pizza. After having the worst sleep ever in the bed, we discovered that the bed the kids slept in was a pillow top mattress and the one we were in was just an old crappy mattress. If you're going to upgrade beds, upgrade all of them!!! This was a very, very bad experience and I do not recommend staying here with a family.
