“Hot tub out of service, no notifications of it anywhere”

My husband and I stayed at this Hotel in Lethbridge AB as we wanted to check out the city to possibly move there next summer. We reserved this Hotel because we wanted to use the hot tub. As we arrived I asked about the hot tub and the maintenance guy said he is fixing it, that it would not be in service during our stay. He had a certain attitude and did not treat us like a professional. He told the receptionist how to do his job as well, which to me is very unprofessional. We asked for a discount and he again answered for the receptionist, and I got a little frustrated so he said I could talk to Ted the next day, who is one of the managers. I did talk to Ted the next day, who is very friendly and did a great job making us feel comfortable. He gave us a discount due to the hot tub not functioning and made sure we were taken care of. The maintenance guy also had to fix the heater in our room, where he took the chance to ask me if I talked to Ted and wanted to know if I got a deal. I just said thank you for your help and he left. I did not feel like he should have asked me if I got a deal or not, nor if I talked to Ted. I dont think he is a very professional person, and should be talked to. My husband and I are very thankful for Ted and his services. Breakfast was great and the server at breakfast very helpful and friendly.PS Nowhere on the website or at the hotel did it say the Hot Tub was out of service.
