Days Inn - Vancouver Metro

It is nice to hear that you had an enjoyable time at the Days Inn Vancouver Metro Hotel. We serve a complimentary continental breakfast buffet for our guests as we do not have a restaurant and therefore no cooking facilities on site (though there are many restaurants within two blocks of the hotel). We have tried oranges and bananas on the buffet but we have found that the fruit flies end up taking over our breakfast room, so we have limited our fruit selections to oranges and prunes. It was disappointing to read your review. I apologize that your stay was not to the level of service that we are striving for. These are the first negative comments that I have had with the Front Desk Member that checked you in (and who was setting up breakfast) in my year and a half at the Days Inn. In fact she is a member of the Days Inn Canada Employee Recognition Program. I receive positive comments from our guests regarding her customer service skills regularly. I am sorry that she did not let you into the breakfast room early but I will take the blame for her actions in regards to this. For the safety and security of my staff it is my policy that no guests can be in the breakfast room as she is setting up. Looking back at your situation she should have brought you up an apple and a muffin and informed you that the breakfast room will be open shortly. In our efforts to be constantly learning and improving our level of service I thank you for your review. I am glad that you enjoyed Vancouver, it really is a beautiful city. It is always nice to receive positive feedback on our staff, rooms and location. Being on the corner of Kingsway and Victoria does allow our guests easy access to public transportation. All of our deluxe rooms as well as our one bedroom suites all have a microwave. For our guests staying in our standard rooms there is a microwave available 24 hours a day at the Front Desk. In order to collect points, or participate in these promotions, our guests have to register as a Wyndham Rewards member on their website and then make their reservations either through the Wyndham Rewards website, through Days Inn, or of course directly with us. If you booked directly with us it is not too late to collect your gift card. Register on the Wyndham Rewards site and submit your receipts and you should receive your gift card just in time for Christmas.
