“Eh...not sure I'd stay there again!”

  , Sacramento, California
I know going to Disneyland means staying at a place close to the park...so we tried a new place. This is on the Anaheim Resort Transit (ART) which means you can pay $12.00 for a 3 day adult pass and catch a bus outside the park right to your hotel. But...the service on Route 3 SUCKED!! Really Bad...and I'm going to have to rethink using ART to access the park. So, on to the room....was a little yucky! Old bathroom had a rubber mat stuck to the floor of the tub...didn't have the guts to pull it up and see what was beneath it. The water was hot and plently of pressure though. The toilet wasn't secure on the floor and rocked badly when sat upon...eww! The cleaning staff must be trying to hid smells becuase each time we entered the room after Housekeeping, it reeked of cleaner. We had to air out the room just to get rid of the cleaner smell (I have asthma and cannot take strong cleaner smells and did inform the staff of that issue as well) The king bed was okay...not too hard but definitely old for a Days Inn. Disappointed. And they stuck a table and 2 chairs in a room that didn't have square footage for it-so you had to be careful when getting out of bed you didn't hit your head on the sharp table corner. Also, the traffic from the small side street was quite noisy all the time and the room doors are old and rotting away. Yuck! Also, the walls were so thin we could hear people talking (not loudly) and their entire tv program? I know it's a shared wall--but I haven't had that problem anywhere else? So, while it was technically a clean room...just didn't feel like it. not going to be on my list next time. I could have gotten a much cleaner, updated room without a rotting door, thicker walls and way less road noise for less at the Motel 6...not sure why I keep trying to find something better when this obviously let me down big time! Inexpensive room (85/night) doesn't have to equate to run down, rocking toilets and rotting doors/tubs!
