“Old and dirty!”

  , Durant
Nine fellow employees and I I stayed at the Barnwell Days Inn for 8 days on business. The outside appearance looks old and poorly maintained. The lobby is so small you can barely turn around and they actually give you your TV remote with your room key when you check in. The rooms appearance was extremely poor and even though they were marked as non-smoking rooms, there was a very strong odor of smoke in most. The furniture had large stains, the carpet was so dirty that you had to wear shoes, and the shower curtain was so short that you had to fight to keep it in the tub while showering. The ceiling had several holes that were stuffed with toilet paper and open/uncovered lighting fixtures with wires hanging out. The air conditioning unit was so filthy that it had dead bugs and mold growing in it. The odor was so bad when you turned it on that most of us tried to leave them off as much as possible. The free breakfast was a joke. They provided biscuits, sausage, pancakes, dried cereal and fruit. The only thing eatable was was the cereal and fruit. The biscuits, sausage and pancakes were still partially frozen. They did provide donuts one morning but they were so stale that we ended up throwing them away. There is no way I would ever stay here again much less recommend it to anyone!
