“quick one-nighter”

  , Tupelo
I had to make a quick trip to Memphis to visit LeBonheur and was only in the hotel room for about 10 hours. Long enough to sleep and shower basically. The beds were very comfortable and the sheets were clean and without stains or holes. Plenty of comfy pillows in the room. The fridge was COLD, the Internet was fast and the TV had plenty of cartoon channels to entertain both of my two year olds. Hotel is not in the best location, but is definitely not in the worst either. Our room was right beside the stairs, so it was loud on and off throughout the night with people screaming at each other as they were coming and going on the stairwell. The noise woke me up several times, but my kids stayed asleep, so I didn't worry too much about it, and it quieted down rather quickly once everyone was off the stairs. The bathroom was not exactly dirty, but it didn't look very clean either. Towels and washcloths were clean, as was the bathtub, but stray hairs and a dead bug on the floor when we arrived. Didn't report this to the manager, as I was exhausted and only wanted some sleep. I was just glad the bug was dead and not alive. The exterior of the hotel looks a bit run down, but the inside wasn't bad. Breakfast looked good, and coffee was hot. Front desk clerk was very nice and polite. Overall, an okay experience. Would consider staying here again as long as I didn't have a room next to the stairs.
