Positives: room was clean, decent furniture, the bed was so-so (mattress was OK but box springs sagging at the end), location is great (Walgreens, Chili's across parking lot, Chinese, Indian, Vietnamese restaurants in 1 mile radius). The week I spent there, seemed to be a training session for Cable technicians or something, parking lot full of Cable trucks, and a lot of them were talking outside their room, on the balcony, and drinking until 10:00 PM, did not bother me much but need to mention.When I checked in, the attendant warned me that the key card do get de-magnetized occasionnaly, and indeed, I got a card key that did not work; came back to the lobby, she gave me another room, saying that it might have been the room lock. Did notice that she pulled the card in and out very fast out of the card programmer, just like in a gas station reader. Anyway, after I changed room and got 2 new keys, no other problem.When I checked out, I found an attendant that had a very annoying attitude, called himself B.; he first refused to give me a receipt for my stay, claiming that I booked through Orbitz so it was pre-paid and he could not give me a receipt (that's false; at check in, they authorized $100 on my card and promise me they would void it at check-out; the attendant refused to give me the proof of void, said it would be done in 24-48 hours). So after I told him that the State of California requires businesses to provide receipts for services rendered, he demanded to see the credit card I reserved with, and was adamant that he would not be able to give me a receipt if I did not have the correct credit card. When he realized he was wrong about pre-payment, he did not apologize, but said that I did something weird, that all Orbitz reservations are prepaid (that's bull, I do Orbitz all the time). I told him that I was re-considering staying the following week at the same hotel, and he rudely said "that's your choice". I did think about changing to another hotel but decided to give this one another chance, I like the location and hopefully I won't have to deal with that guy again. If I do, this week will be my last there.The internet connection had an issue, my browser kept on alerting that its certificate was invalid, so my Kindle would not download anything. « less
