“The Worst Days Inn Location by a huge margin”

I would not stay here again. The room and the overall facility needs attention in maintenance. In the room cords/cables were dangling/loose, the mattress was stiff, the freeway noise and frequent freight trains further diminished ability to sleep, bugs in the light fixtures, there were some items that were broken or in disrepair, and the odor in the room increased after taking a shower. The continental breakfast features more than most other hotel chains, but in comparison to other Days Inn is a poor example. Items verbally confirmed over the phone to be on the menu were not all actually offered such as the danish and belgian waffles or multiple kinds of juice, etc. The cereal was bordering on stale, the lone apple was there from the day before, the milk and juice set out the entire morning with nothing to keep them cold, and the coffee was terrible indicating the coffee maker and carafe needs a deep cleaning. The food items are co-mingled with the on site manager's personal kitchen and fridge which wasn't reassuring either. The management was friendly and efficient with the check-in that night. The next day she didn't handle customer service well when it came to the breakfast and when presented with issues about the room didn't seem phased. She did come up to the room while I was readying to leave to inspect what I had told her and could only offer an excuse of the previous night's guest being the source. Why I wasn't put in another one of the dozens of rooms available in the first place when there were only a few rooms occupied is beyond me. I will continue to stay at other Days Inn locations, but will not stay here again.
