“Days Inn Redwood City”

I arrived at this Days Inn as a result of assistance from one of your customer service representatives assistance. We were traveling through Northern California and decided to spend several day in San Francisco. When we arrived in the area, we checked the Days Inn in Novato and were informed that we would need to seek a motel further south as all the motels in the area were booked for the races. So we called the Point Richmond Days Inn and were told that they had one room, so we booked it for the night. On arrival and check in, we were informed that they would waive the $20.00 parking fee - as a senior discount - and sent us to room 250. The mattresses were sealed in plastic sheeting, there were stains on the carpet, and the internet would not work. We reported this to the desk manager and were told that we could leave if we were not satisfied - it was been 25 minutes between initial check in and our decision to leave; we were informed that we would be charged for one night. We called Wyndham and spoke to customer service and told him that this all seemed a bit unfair. He assisted us by finding room at the Redwood Days Inn. The accommodations were far more acceptable and the front desk was very welcoming.
