While we are glad that you were able to combine your daily exercise with your convention business, depending on the size of the convention, there is often times a shuttle service that picks up within a block or so of our property. As a popular hotel for convention business, we often point out that depending on the size of the convention in question, there are often times a shuttle service which picks up within a block of our property which makes getting to the convention center a breeze. Best to check with the convention organizer to see if shuttle service is offered, and if so, where the pick up locations might be. There is also a trolley stop within easy walking distance which can make life easier for those who choose not to walk.Thanks for pointing out the value that we offer, and for pointing out how clean the room was. As a frequent traveler myself, I notice whether a room is clean the minute I enter a room. Thank you very much for your review. With regards to parking, we certainly appreciate your thoughts. We were one of the very last hotels in the area to charge for parking, as it was something that we resisted for as long as possible. The simple fact of the matter was that offering free parking actually put us at a competitive disadvantage when it came to the various travel websites. We were competing rate for rate against other hotels in the area, only to have those hotels charge upwards of $20/night for parking. Although we now charge for parking, we believe that our daily rate is still the lowest in the area.We are very sorry that the room was too cold, and as this is the first time we have ever heard this complaint, we hope that you mentioned something to housekeeping or the front desk, as it is something we would like to investigate. As for all the little "extras", isn't it funny how an "economy" hotel offers all of the things that the "full service" hotels might charge extra for?We hope to see you again the next time you visit San Diego. As a jumping off point for much of what San Diego has to offer, we are glad you were able to explore the Gaslamp District, Little Italy, and the Convention Center.
