“Great view but the bag I left behind was not found.”

We stayed in room 208 on this past Thur, 10/10. The room was pretty much what I had expected and served it's purpose for a cute stop on our way to SF for a wedding. I must say the balcony and view were amazing. However, when we left Fri, I accidently left behind a bag on the vanity (where the sink is) which contained my $70 electric toothbrush and a $15 razor. I didn't realize I had left it behind until Sat morning and when I called, the front desk had said nothing was found or turned in. I called again this morning and the nice lady that answered took her time to try and search for it (which I appreciated) but also said it was not there. She then said her supervisor may have more info but he doesn't return from vacation till next Tuesday. She also said there's a chance it was thrown out! I am incredibly disappointed because I am 100% certain it was on that sink counter. Now, I'm out $85 (which costs more than the room) and I hate that I feel certain that it was either thrown out or misplaced. It definitely makes me question if I should ever book there again, considering I've stayed places where the hotel mailed back my sister's pillow that cost no more than $5.
