“Disappointing for Days inn”

I stay at a lot of hotels simply because I like to "get away" from my norm. That being said, this was one of the worse hotels I've stayed in...EVER! I guess this hotel is in transition because there were Sundowner signs everywhere, which actually made me pass it up the first time. Once there, my check-in was ridiculous. There was a guy in front of me that tried every card he had in his wallet, none that work and he ended up paying cash. The whole thing took about 20 minutes. Also during that time there was an older man that worked there, perhaps the owner cause he didn't have on a uniform like the other guy, He was yelling and screaming at the front desk guy about a portable computer they couldn't find but needed because another guest was upset because they could not lock their room door. OMG! Finally it was my turn to check in. He ran my credit card, which went through, so he proceeded to talk thrash about the guy before me whose card didn't work. Very unprofessional! I headed to the room, go up the stairs and at the top on my floor, three guys are sitting outside drinking beers. The next room had it's room door wide open, just watching everything and everyone. Once in the room, there was loud knocking and loud talking from the other room. While getting ready to go to a concert which is the reason I booked the room in the first place, I got nervous. I didn't feel safe or secure enough to leave my stuff in the room so we actually put all our stuff back in the truck and took our chances that no one at the concert would break in the car. If I could've cancelled this room once I saw all the other options I had near by, I would've in a heartbeat. I asked the front desk guy what time check out was he said 11am so I asked if I could have a late check out, he said I had to call in the morning. REALLY? That defeats the purpose. This place sucks. The customer service sucks. I'm upset that I had to pay $108 for insecurity. Never again. Thank God, I've stayed at Days Inn before or I would never even think twice about this chain.
