“Great value for the price”

Since I almost always stay at upper tier hotels such as Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt and Sheraton, I decided to write this review after a visit to a small town which offered none of my usual choices. Because of my lowered expectations, the Days Inn in Colorado City surprised me with a level of service, cleanliness and comfort, which, for the price I paid was clearly exceptional.Specifically, the furnishings while not elegant, were functional and comfortable; the King bed was firm, as I like it, and the linens were clean; the bathroom amenities were adequate (I always bring my own soap) and the hot breakfast was better than one would receive at a Hampton or a Fairfield.This praise is completely attributable to the efforts of the Hotel Manager, Bob Patek, who was everywhere doing everything that was needed, and yet found time and energy to be pleasant to his customers. I would definitely stay here again.
