“Friendly staff, smells like an ashtray, needs repair”

  , Matthews
The rooms are all non-smoking, but it's pretty clear no one cares if the visitors (?staff maybe?) smoke in the halls. The main hallway reeks of cigarette smoke. The A/C in my room was extremely weak, very noisy, and really never got the room cold. The bathroom floor (tile) was terribly in need of repair and the door to the bathroom had a hole punched partially through it. Continental breakfast was good and price was certainly good, but you get what you pay for here. Of the 7 motels I stayed in this week, this one was the second worst. Was given a password to WiFi, but WiFi didn't work at all. Had to use a 3rd party 4G cellular connection instead.
