“Very poor quality for an extorted rate”

  , Saint Johns
The room was incredibly poor quality, specifically in that parts of the dry-wall were cracked and falling apart particularly around the electrical outlets. The alarm clock was on the dresser with the TV rather than on the nightstand next to the bed, due to limited outlets. The coffee maker was dirty. There were dingy areas of the room, especially in the bathroom. However, this seemed to be more a result of the building's age rather than neglect from the staff. The worst part was that we paid $129 for one night, likely an increased rate because of the local college football game. That price was only the base rate. With the added pet fee, taxes, etc., the total came to about $180 for a room that was in abysmal condition. We were not in town for the game, either, but that did not prevent your personnel from charging such an outrageous rate for a shabby room. I would never stay at this hotel again and will do my best to avoid Days Inn locations from now on.
