The hotel accommodations were good. We did not have a microwave in our room as told we would. The only problem was with checkin and check out with the proprietor. I hav=d booked two rooms with the 800 number. I discovered that one of the gentlemen for whom I had booked a room did not know so and booked a room for himself. When I tried to cancel it I was told I could not. I even called the 800 and customer service and they called the manager. I then discovered I had been charged on my credit card at the time I made the reservations over the phone. He refused to listen and charged me again at check out. ONly this time he charged me for only 4 days instead of 5 because I had canceled the last night 24 hours earlier. Now I have over a $1000 charge on my card. I probably will choose not to stay at this Days Inn in Vega, Texas again. There are other hotels though not as nice, but this man would listen to k=no reason. Even the lady from customer service called him. I was very disappointed. We have stayed at this hotel numerous times over the last 6 or so years. Usually anywhere from 2w4 rooms each time. The custer service people were great but your representative at the hotel was very uncoopertative even when showed where he was wrong. I eneded up paying for the gtentleman room as well a mine and he was charged on his card also. The hassle with the credit card company has just begun and will probasbly take a month or more to straighten out. Wendy Lockwood, Texas Archaeologocal Society
