The rooms are a mass of mould and patched up walls (and a really shoddily repaired bathtub strangely). The bedding was surprisingly fine compared to the lack of water pressure in the shower, and yet over pressurised sink, the television was closer to a radio with a small colourful blur on the front. The air conditioning worked fine. Door lock was broken. The breakfast area is inadequate, albeit free. There are two small tables which are constantly full. A waffle maker, some damp pastries and somewhat stale cereal await. I think I'd rather have just paid less and not had the option in hindsight. The staff were horrendous. Upon attempting to check in, I mentioned that I had seen a reduced rate for three nights on the Days Inn website and was given a terribly rude response. I then booked via the website and had to wait almost two hours until the gentleman at the desk could be bothered to check me in. He claimed that the booking should come through immediately but it hadn't. I repeatedly had to ask him to check the system, the issue was only resolved because I demanded he call a central location. At the same time, a woman complained that she had been charged double and was given the run around in much the same manner. Upon checking out there was a large family who were being given a tough time. The had checked in the night before at 1am on a stop-off and found that one of the rooms smelled of vomit. The guy told them that he had no more rooms but would refund an amount of that room. They had young children so couldn't go searching for another hotel at that hour and accepted. When they tried to check out, the offer was rescinded and they were accused of lying. The staff then said they could only give him $10, which later bumped up to $20, but refused to offer this when a member of the party decided that she should complain to the general manager (rightfully complain, I might add). They gave the GM's details but told the family he would not answer his phone on weekends (surely that's when a hotel GM is needed most). Even when trying to find out what refund I would get for checking out a day early after pre-paying, I was told nothing as the rate would go up. Upon asking what that rate would be, even then the math did not work out.The wifi was awful, the only way to get a constant connection was to connect to the lobby rather than the guest wifi.I didn't expect much, I only really chose this hotel for price, wifi and breakfast. 1/3 isn't bad
