I went to this hotel after looking on Priceline and seeing that this place was offering a sale. Well, after getting the room through Priceline I was informed that there would be an additional charge. I booked the room for two nights and when asked about cancelations was told no and that I chose to deal with Priceline and that everything was through Priceline now so deal with them. They then did a old impression of my credit card and made me sign a blank receipt in case of damages. Fortunatly, my job went for the duration of my stay. The final straw was when I took a shower the next morning, an old facecloth fell from the shower curtain into the tub. Was the room even cleaned? I did get the blank credit card recept back at the end of my stay (it was laying out on the front counter) but wonder why they needed it in the first place as they did not inspect the room for damages before I left. « less

Overall I found this hotel to be a great choice. The bed was comfy and I slept well. The pillows could have used a little improving, but weren't bad. The staff was very pleasant and helpful upon arrival. The room was nice and included what I required for a week long business trip: fridge, micro, iron/board, desk and hairdryer. A breakfast was provided, but wasn't impressive. I love the waffle-maker, however the biscuits and gravy weren't that good (cold and not very tasty). I much prefer protein for breakfast than the large quantity of carbs that were provided as it keeps me full til lunchtime. If they offered eggs/bacon instead of the biscuits/gravy it would have been considerably better. I stocked my own breakfast in the room fridge and ate there most mornings. I believe I read a post prior to staying there in which the person remarked about threadbare carpet and I honestly did not see anything to that nature. The colors of the carpet were muted in a way that gave them a worn look, but they were not worn or old at all. I also choose this hotel for the fitness center and used it several times. However, I was disappointed that some of the equipment was not in working order. Apparently my trip was timed with the spring training for the Detroit Tigers and caused the room price to be much higher than it normally is, however, if you are going to see the Tigers than this would be a good place to stay as the games are just a short ways down the street. Other benefits include strong wi-fi, a smoke-free hotel with no smoke or musty odor anywhere. Overall a nice hotel. I would certainly stay there again if future trips take me back to the beautiful city of Lakeland. « less

I enjoyed my stay at the Days Inn. It was convenient to Lakeland Center, the rooms were very clean and it was a great value to the money. I especially likedRm 201 since I had the jacuzzi tub in the room and it was great to relax after a hard day at the convention. Even though I was at the ice machine, there was never any noise! The only suggestion I could make was they need more carts for those people with alot of luggage, I had to make 6 trips to my car in the morning because some people keep the carts in their rooms. they need to put a sign up to bring them back immediately after check in and check out. Otherwise I will have to do the same in order to secure a cart to put all my convention stuff on. Kim the night attendant was WONDERFUL! made you feel right at home. the morning girls were nice, but not overly so and didn't seem so concerned that there were no carts. they just said "oh well, guess someone has them in their rooms" I am 60 yrs old with arthritis and the 6 trips with luggage really took a toll out of me on my checkout . Otherwise my stay would have been PERFECT! « less
