“What a joke!”

  , Phenix City
I really expected better from Days Inn...The room was really small, the sliding glass doorswere nearly impossible to open and shut. We opened it once and after struggling to close itdecided not to do it again. There were these nasty stains all over the walls, dust all over the a/c and the bathroom vents. The frig had rust all around the bottom. We were frankly afraid to leave anything in our room when we would go out, so we didn't. When we asked that weget clean linens...nope, the same ones were used. I know because I brushed my hair on the bed before we left and there was still hair on the bed.. Also the bed had brokenbed slats and the bathroom had a hole in the wall above the light fixture and crap wouldflake down from it during the night into the sink. Our coffee pot still had coffee in it after clean up by the maid and the floor had not been vacuumed. The room is so dimly lighted I had problems seeing how to read, much less put on make up. Even the bathroom was dim. When we left the room we came back and our keys no longer worked. We asked for extra coffee also and no such thing....this hotel is a disgrace to the Days Inn name.We also had to kill wasp when we first arrived and when we told the staff at the front desk, their reply was I would think it would be too cold for them this time of the year!Parking...oh that is a laugh. They put all the old disable people in the back of the hotel where the security lights just work off and on and if you leave you have no place to park when you return. The alarm clock didn't work and when we first check in we found there were no batteries in the remote for the TV and had to go to the front desk to get them.It offers free wi-fi, if you can find a plug to plug into. We would have to unplug the coffee pot to plug in. The iron cord was just dangling from the wall. My roommate had a asthma attack everytime we would stay for any length of time in the room. Hasn't had an attack since we left.We were quoted $125.00 and change when we checked out it wound up over $165.00.I would not recommend anyone ever stay here until they get a maintenance team that does their job.
