“2-stars - you get what you pay for”

We were referred to this hotel because the Navy lodge was under construction and this hotel honored the same rate as the navy lodge - $65. The first room were sent to supposedly had a queen bed it in it but it was actually a full size bed. I asked for another room and the night manager was happy to accomodate that. The hotel is old, and some things have been "remodeled". A new coat of paint on the walls, carpet could be new and it looks like they painted some old furniture. The sink in the bathroom came to just above my knees although the bathroom wasn't otherwise handicap accessible so I'm not sure why the sink was so low. Air conditioner was a wall unit and we had to keep it on full blast all night to avoid the room getting humid. The bedding was very rough and we both had a hard time sleeping. We checked out after one night and stayed next door at the Hilton Garden Inn which is very very nice and it was only $80 government rate.I guess i'm just not a 2 star hotel person.
