“DO NOT STAY HERE. Many other hotels in the area that are probably the same price and service could not be any worse”

  , Boston
This hotel was really awful to stay in. Mind you, I really don't need a lot when I stay at a hotel - hence the reason I was willing to pay about $120 a night - I was just planning on sleeping there, nothing else. However, when we arrived at the room, the room was really gross. Smelled badly, the carpet was went in a few areas like it had been cleaned and the towels were really hard and just not pleasant to use.Our second day there, as we are leaving the hotel for a meeting (to which we could not be late), we saw a sign on our door telling us that we had to move immediately. Given no warning, we had to gather all our stuff up and ended up leaving some shower items which were not returned later. As if this wasn't the worst wake up call ever, we were then moved to a room that had not even been cleaned from the last person yet. Overall, this started off the day on a pretty bad note. And the manager had the audacity to give me attitude for being upset about this. Are you serious?Throughout the week, we were met with the same awful room cleaning service, and on the last day when I asked for a cab, the desk attendent, while standing right next to a phone, proceeded to write out the full phone number instead of just calling the cab for me. Seemed a little ridiculous - again, I guess you can't expect luxury. As I said, was not expecting a lot for our price point in SF, but I at least expected common decency. In regards to the overall stay, there were also people yelling outside every night. I think one time there was even a fight with the manager.
