“Not what I was expecting from Days Inn”

  , South Carolina
I did not notice at booking that this was an exterior corridor hotel, or I never would have booked it--the neighborhood was run down. Breakfast should not have been advertised. They had stale mini-bagels and mini-doughnuts, and the orange juice dispenser gave what tasted like Tang. There was a waffle maker, but the desk guy came from behind the counter to stand next to me and stared at me while I used it. Very weird. It was a good location, central to beaches and downtown, but we won't be back. The room was clean and comfortable (except housekeeping kept turning our air back to a high temp when we left the room in the morning so it was hot every afternoon), but it was obviously a very old hotel with a tiny pool. The room would have been on the low side of acceptable, but breakfast was so bad we went out after the first morning. I was disappointed, and won't be staying at a Days Inn after this.
