“NOT WORTH IT! NEVER AGAIN! WOULD RATHER SLEEP IN MY CAR.. AT LEAST ITS CLEAN!”

  , Bradenton
I had booked this hotel because it was cheap and me, my boyfriend, and his friend all wanted a cheap place to stay after howl o scream at Busch Gardens. I read some concerning reviews about it, but thought whatever. I travel a lot and have stayed in some pretty nasty hotels and Days Inn is usually a good hotel.... NOT THIS ONE! First I was scared to leave my car anywhere, very sketchy neighborhood. Then I was gretted by a man who was being rude on the phone to someone in a room who was complaining saying it wasn't clean. Found out he was the manager who wanted to go home so he told the guy on the phone that his cleaning staff was already gone and he had already paid for THAT room they couldn't move him. So I was already shocked and when I approached the counter he pushed me onto a man (who was of course anything but cheery) and got checked in. When we got to our room, my boyfriend I already wanted to leave. We were in the back of the building and we asked for a non-smoking room and it smelt like smoke which made me sick. The rest of the rooms in the area were out of our budget or booked so we had to air out the room. Then the room was dirty. Looks like it had been brushed over, but DEFINATELY not cleaned. The furniture in it was falling apart. It was crazy small and if you walked around your socks were black the carpet was so dirty. They gave us a card with our housekeeper on it so I tried calling for her. First it was a name non of us could read or pronounce so that took some time then to come to find out she wasnt working that night. Why give me her name if she doesn't work the ONE NIGHT I'm staying? The free wi-fi didn't work either. My advice, DO NOT STAY HERE! There is a La Quinta we usually stay at right down the street, same price MUCH BETTER SERVICE AND QUALITY! Again I have stayed in sketchy hotels all over the USA but this one... NEVER AGAIN! I would rather make the hour trip home at 2am or sleep in my car then stay here.
