“disappointed”

we were happy until the third day when I was summoned to the front desk and told that i needed to pay an additional 85.00 for having my 3lb dog with us. I told them i would have to go to the bank and would get back to them, and proceeded to speak to my wife. when the reservation was made this location was picked because it said pet friendly. we went to West Palm Beach to pick up this dog for my wife, the dog did not get to the room until late Tuesday evening, and went everywhere with us Wednesday and Thursday. Later that same evening (Thursday) while out I received a notification from my bank that the hotel was trying to charge my credit card an additional 80 some dollars, then a second attempt at 50. Once we left dinner and went back to the room we discover we were locked out. I went to the front desk where I explained the situation and was told that the person on duty would have to call the manager (at home) and talk to them before we would be allowed back into the room. I was then informed that there would be an additional 50.00 dollar fee for the dog. I did pay that but was very disappointed in the way this was handled. The hot tub was out of order 2 nights of our stay, but did not complain. We discovered roaches in the night stand, (told the maid) but did not complain. We asked for an extra blanket on the 3rd night and was given something unusable (wool, very scratchy and unpleasant smelling) and did not complain. I felt deceived by the way this was handled with my credit card. We travel to FL. twice a year, and had discussed this being the perfect location, however I doubt I will ever stay in one of your hotels again. Also wondered why upon returning to the hotel each night the parking lot would have at least 10 police vehicles, with officers walking around the lot, if there was a crime problem at the hotel..?. We pulled our Motorcycle down with us and felt concerned with leaving it in the lot overnight. I ended up leaving it at my sons home each night.
