“Not as nice as the last time I stayed in Dalton”

On the whole the visit was nice, as we liked the hotel and had stayed at this particular Days Inn before in Dalton. However, the room itself left a lot to be desired. I reported all of the following issues to the front desk when we checked out:1. The door seal was bad. This included a very visible open crease at the bottom of the door and the floor where wind literally whistled through the opening. My wife and I put a towel in front of the opening to stop the whistling and cold air.2. The entry light switch did not work.3. The shower head did not adjust. Water came out in the "pulsating massage mode" which is very uncomfortable when rinsing your face.4. There was some sort of sticky, gooey feeling to the undersides of the armchair rests on both chairs in the room.As noted above, I did report the issues to the front desk. We did not request a room change when we discovered the door issue immediately. That was on us - when I did mention it to the front desk by then they were fully booked for the night and they could not move us. I will say that the staff was very responsive to my observations, which was very nice. Also, by staying at Days Inn we were able to get a 10% discount on our dinner at the O'Charleys next door. Similar discounts are available at other nearby restaurants including IHOP and Applebee's.
