When we checked into your hotel we were treated very well by the desk person. we then went out to eat and when we returned I noticed an over abundance of signs warning aginst leaving items in your car. We were tired and went to bed. At 2:30 A.M. I was awaken by noise in the parking lot. I got up and peaked out the window. While looking at the parking lot I saw a woman get out of a car that was parked across the parking lot from our room. This woman walked directly to our door and started pounding on the door which woke my wife. This woman said that she was looking for a big fat 300 lb. white guy .I told her she had the wrong room. The woman then went back to her car but didn't drive away. I told my wife to call the desk and tell them what was going on and ask them to call the police. My wife called the desk and was told that the woman had come to the desk and said she was looking for her husband. when told he was not at the hotel she had left and was sitting in the parking lot in a car. While waiting for the police the woman got out of her car and walked to another part of the hotel out of my view. When the police arrived I went out and gave them a description of the woman and told them what was going on. About 15 min. latter The Police officer came and told me they found the woman and she was looking for sombody and she was told that she would have to leave the hotel property. After about 10 min. of loud talking between this woman and another police officer this woman drives away in her car with loud pipes. I then try to go back to sleep but couldn't.While trying to sleep I heard this woman return and drive thru the lot a few times. at 6:30A.M. I gave up trying to sleep and went to the lobbie to have a cup of coffee. I asked the desk person why the womwn wasn't ask to leave the lot by hotel security. I was told there was no security. Now I understand why there is people running around disturbing the guest and why there are warning signs all over the parking lot. I would think that Day Inn should hire some night security and take back thier hotel from the street people otherwise it will be just another vacant building. Check in person was very good but check out/overnite person was very unconserned with the whole thing. « less
