“Route 66 Trip”

With a mate we traveled the Historic Route 66 in a 1993 Chev Corvette from Chicago to Los Angeles from Sept 24th to Oct 13th.. I am a member of Lions Clubs International and was able to use the Lions concession when I was able to book in by internet. During our trip we used Days Inn or Super8 motels for 75% of our nights. However as we did not know how far we would travel most days we had to book in on arrival. In hindsight I should have signed up for one of your cards and would strongly recommend this to anyone else that I knew was doing this trip. As a suggestion to your Group, the number of people now traveling the Historic Route 66 appears quite high but like ourselves the distance traveled in any one day varies considerable depending on the things and places of interest that one discovers on the journey. With this in mind perhaps your Group could consider a "Historic Route 66 Card" and a little brochure listing your Motels along the Route and including some concession.We felt that we received good value for money at all of your motels we stayed at.
