“Santa Fe, NM Experience”

  , Las Cruces
Arrived on one of the coldest nights in Santa Fe. Temperature dropped down to One Degree that night. As I walked into my room, I turned on the main light switch and nothing went on. Had to fumble around to find one of the desk lamps. Room was extremely cold, so I went to turn on the heater and it did not work. After a few seconds, I noticed the plug had been pulled from the receptical. I turned up the heat and it took nearly two hours to bring the room up to 68 degrees. I check the to make sure everything else was okay and decided to unpack. An hour or so later, I went into the bathroom and there was water all over the floor. I got down on my knees and saw water coming out of the wall under the sink. It looked like there had been a leak there for months, since the wall was black with mildew and the sheetrock was bubled and rotted. TV channels were a joke! Only about 15 channels to pick from. Second morning I was there, I went to get free breakfast at 7:00am and the doors were locked! Overnight clerk had been asleep and failed to wake up in time to open the doors at 6:00am. The parking lot was still real icy and dangerous the days I was there and no one had cleaned the parking. It had snowed 3 days earlier, so there was plenty of time.
