“The WORST hotel rooms & service I've EVER encountered”

I am a member of the Wyn Rewards program & have stayed in MANY of the hotels in the Wyndham chain. If I could give this hotel a negative 5 I would! I was on a multi-state business trip & made reservations ahead of time and arrived at the hotel just before 11PM (exhausted). The 1st room they put me in #126 had blood splatters & boogers on the wall & a heater that didn't work (it was 35 degrees so heater was needed). When I asked to switch rooms Marietta at the front desk acted as if I was a nuisance (no apologies). As I pulled up to the front desk to get my new key, a male employee was being dropped off & had no qualms about taking up the entire driveway (both left & right portions) and sit & chat for a bit leaving me to park & have to walk to swap keys. I was then put in room #223 which had noxious fumes permeating. As I was unpacking my toiletries I noticed dead & dying roaches.... obviously they recently fumigated but felt no qualms about putting a person in that hazardous room. As I called the front office to change rooms again, Marietta claimed no rooms were available & it was now already almost midnight so I left fan & heater on & decided to just bear it. At checkout I spoke to Latiya who said the manager was out of the country so I could not have any words with him. When I told her about the issues (now wheezing from the chemicals) she claimed that there were no roaches & no fumes. I pulled out my phone to show her the photos I took & she still played defensive denial (again, no apologies). This hotel needs a boot-camp of instruction from HOW TO TREAT patrons as well as how to properly maintain and run a hotel. Issues occur & things happen, but to take no ownership & offer no apologies for any inconvenience is unheard of!!!! Cheap motels are run better than this!
