“Blood on the sheets!!”

During a recent trip Oct. 08 2013 I stayed at Days Inn in Mt Vernon Ill.While turning down the sheets on one of the double beds I found there to be Blood drops on the sheet. I called the Front Desk and told the man about the problem and then asked if they had another room. While doing that on the phone I was checking the other bed and found that to be OK. So I said, to make everything easier I could stay in this room and sleep on the other bed.I re called the front desk to ask that the man come up and check the sheets to make sure he knew what the problem was. He did and said he would report it to the manager.I asked for some credit on my bill for this problem, he said he could not give any credit, only the manager could do that.So all went well that night and in the morning while checking out I told the day front desk person and she checked my bill and indeed did find a note from the night person there. She also said she could not give any credit on my bill and only the manager could do that and she was SURE that this would be taken care of and I would get some credit. Also she said the manager would contact me about this. SO IT IS now ONE WEEK and NO contact from the invisible manager. NO Phone call No email. No Credit!I did stop back at the Days Inn yesterday on my return trip to check the computer and see if there was a credit and there was not!I talked to the person, the one that originally checked me in, and he had no knowledge of what further was happening and the manager was OUT again and he did not know if he was coming back.So this morning it is another full day and NO CONTACT from the invisible manager.Are these managers trained to just blow off any complaints and hide out in their office??Very disappointing.I was going to stay at the hotel again last night but moved on to another Hotel down the road.
