“So, so bad...”

  , Toronto
Filthiest room I've ever stayed in. Had to brush my teeth in the bath tub because the water in the sink was so disgusting and the sink itself was backed up. The shower head is literally coming out of the bathroom vent which seems to be hooked up to outside air which was FREEZING. The shower head is also about chest level...I am 5'11". The carpets were semen stained, there were cob webs on the ceiling, the bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. The hallways looked prison-like. Just as we were drifting off to sleep after jamming a chair against the door, we heard screaming and yelling through the paper thin walls. It was as if they were in the same room. Suffice to say we didn't sleep well. The front desk staff was in full on "don't give a crap" mode, and who could blame them as there was a line up of guests checking out first thing in the morning as no one wanted to stay a second longer than they had to. We overheard a phone call the front desk had with a guest who was yelling at them to come and fix something in their room. The staff assured the guest that they had notified maintenance and they were on the way. As soon as the staff hung up, she asked other staff if they had contacted maintenance...they hadn't. So she had lied to the guest. After driving away as fast and far as we could, it turned out we were double billed and charged for two nights instead of one. When we called the 1-800 number, they told us there was nothing they could do, so we had to call Visa to have them take care of it.Also, stay out of the "exercise room" which is really just two treadmills and for some reason two viewing chairs that looked like they were stolen from a funeral home. Those chairs were put to good use though as a creepy man in sweatpants sat down and stared at my wife while she worked out and intimidated her enough that she ran back to our room.Basically...stay somewhere else....ANYWHERE else, and pay whatever they are asking before you stay in this flea bag hotel.
