“Decent choice for the budget-conscious”

  , Los Angeles
I stayed here for a short weekend near Halloween (bad) but not on a home-game weekend (good). The hotel doesn't look like much but it was a decent stay, and cheap compared to a fancier place like a Marriott. The staff were super nice and friendly and generally very pleasant to talk to and deal with. The rooms are outdated like crazy and have some signs of wear, like the deadbolt grinding in the slot and taking extra effort to lock or the old tube TV. That being said, the rooms had some nice perks despite being old, like good shower water pressure, a large and newer mini-fridge, wireless internet. The beds were firmer than most hotels, which I appreciated a lot. I came into this trip expecting a budget hotel and I got a bit better than expected, so that was great. The only problem was the thinness of the walls. I travel a lot, I understand how hotels work, I can deal with a fair amount of noise from the other guests. This was one of the louder places I've stayed; I was able to hear people outside, one and two doors down, talking to each other as if they were right outside my open door, and I could hear what sounded like everyone else in the hotel when they would yell or scream. Consider what's going on at Clemson during your stay. Halloween? Football game? Spring break? Expect noise, lots of it, and at very inconvenient hours of the night.
