“Never again, Leavenworth Days Inn”

Days Inn,I'm sad to report the following story. I initially attempted to reserve online until I was unable to register that I had a pet with me. So, I called the Leavenworth, KS Days Inn to reserve over the phone. The woman who answered had a strong foreign accent and was unable to understand my request to reserve and add a dog. She kept repeating "reserve online please". I gave up and hung up and reserved online without notifying the hotel about the dog. When I arrived at the hotel the receptionist, an elderly Indian gentlemen, was on the phone and did not speak to me. He only gestured for my credit card. He conducted the whole payment and key distro with me while on the phone speaking in his original language. I had to break into his conversation to notify him that I had an animal. The room we received was clean as expected. The only issue was that the shower plumbing was broken. To shower, the majority of the hot water ran into the tub as the tub filled up. The rest of the cooler water came out the shower head. After burning our toes while trying to shower my wife and I decided that we'd rather sleep on air mattresses in our empty home rather than subject the children to that. I checked out with the receptionist, reported the plumbing issue and canceled the remaining 2 days of our 3 day reservation. She was polite and asked me to stand by while she talked to the manager (I'm assuming he is the elderly Indian gentlemen). She came back and reported that the manager won't leave his room and that he says he has my email address and he'll email me the receipt with the refund. I was pretty shocked. I have since cancelled the reservation at that same Days Inn for my mother. I would not let her stay there and I will not recommend that hotel to friends. I did recieve an email with a final receipt and after canceling 2 of the 3 days of my reservation, I was only reimbursed $33.00 out of a $202 bill. Due to that fact that I don't want to deal with the manager gentlemen, I decided to chalk it up as a loss. Respectfully,Concerned military familyDavid Lombardo678-772-0473
