“Rude and discourteous staff”

  , Saint Louis
My wife and I were driving cross country, and stopped in Russel overnight. We picked the Days Inn because generally that means a decent hotel, usually a little better than the other options there (a Super 8 is next door, and the trucker oriented Russell Inn down the street). It cost $60 to the Russell Inn's $30, but I assumed I'd be getting a better night's sleep for that. Unfortunately, the heater was so loud that we both woke up every time it came on and couldn't fall asleep until it turned off. When I told the staff in the morning at check out, I didn't receive so much as an apology. After pretty much being blown off by the staff, I asked if they were going to do anything to make this right, and was told I should have gotten up, gotten dressed, and come to the desk in the middle of the night so that we could change rooms. The management then essentially accused me of lying, and insisted that we go up to the room so that he could hear the noise and decide if it was bad enough to warrant them doing anything. At that point I got sick of dealing with them and wasting my time, so I cut my losses and left. So to sum it all up, go to the Russell Inn down the street, save your $30. Don't go here. I won't again.
