“Needs some upgrades!”

  , Dana
We requested a king bed- they don't have them, so had to settle for a queen room. When I turned on the heater, it sent sparks out, scaring the bejesus out of us. When they moved us to another room, it had two full sized beds. When I pointed this out, I was told it was the only other room available. Really? 3 cars in the parking lot.... ALL NIGHT. We huddled together on a small bed, that was uncomfortable as could be- and that was the better of the two mattresses. The bathroom was microscopic. The heater in the replacement room had two settings that seemed to work- on full blast or off. "Breakfast" consisted of lukewarm coffee, a choice of stale mini-muffins, english muffins, or wheat bread- or two kinds of cereal with milk that was set in a container of ice, Thankfully for my traveling companion, there was a Waffle House next door. I had to go to work hungry. The night person was a very friendly, outgoing woman. She was the best thing about the whole stay- offered great suggestions for lunch and dinner. The guy at the counter in the mornings... polite, but a bit unsettling. If you have a pet, as I did, it's about the only place in Villa Rica to stay, and they ARE pet friendly- with a $10+tax per night fee. If you don't have a pet, think about another hotel. When I filled out about hotel staff- the excellents are for Penny, the woman who checked me in and tried to help us get comfortable. I don't want to discredit her excellence with the low marks the other front desk person would rate!!!
