“Was housekeeping lunching in my room??”

To be fair, I stay in hotels with my dog(s) several times a year to attend dog shows. I try extremely hard to be thoughtful of the hotel and fellow guests when I travel to these events so that me and others who travel with dogs will continue to be welcome at hotels. I do not leave me dog(s) alone in my room, I do not let them bark incessantly, and OF COURSE I clean up after they potty outside. I did bring a dog to this property, and we were gone for long hours (at the dog show) for 4 nights. We returned tired and ready for some TV and bedtime. Imagine my surprise, when the first night I returned, at 8pm to discover that my bed had not been made at all, and the TV was on. The bathroom was clean, fresh towels delivered. When I called the front desk, I received no explanation or apology, just asked if I wanted it made now (no, I'm going to bed) and told a note would be given, requesting the bed be made the next day. Is this a special request? I was also asked if I had 'left anything ON the bed?' Hmm, no. The next day, the bed was made, in that the covers were pulled up, but the pillows were stacked up on one side like someone was sitting up against them, and again, the TV was blaring. This exact configuration of bed-making was done daily, again, with the TV left on and blaring. The room was clean, fresh towels given. I honestly felt like someone was sitting on my bed, watching TV at lunch and then just left before I got there. It was odd, to say the least. During my stay the room was quiet. For those of you considering this property, note that it is almost within walking distance from the airport, but I never heard a plane! the parking is very crowded, but they have a secure lot (keycard required). The IHop restaurant is on the premises, which is convenient if you don't have a car, but you must pick up (no room delivery). The rooms need updating but for the price, they are OK. Again, I just wondered about housekeeping using my room for lunch breaks...
