“Mantenance problems”

Our 1st room had several problems, including a broken lock on 1st floor patio door, a clogged sink, and a foul odor in the bathroom and between the beds. I called the front desk and was happy that the maintenance man would be there in a few minutes. He arrived quickly and as I was explaining to him about the clogged sink, he informed me that it stunk in the bathroom and he wanted to come back later because he had just ate. I was too stunned by his response to tell him that the smell was there before we had arrived just a few minutes earlier. After assessing all of the problems with the room, we decided to change roooms. The front desk got us a different room on the 3rd floor which introduced us to the elevator. It had a sign that said "Press the down button to go up. Thank You" Two things, the sign seemed like it had been there a very long time and that the elevator stopped on the 2nd floor no matter what button you pushed. Our 3rd floor room was cleaner and didn't have a smell to it but the bathroom sink didn't drain. It wasn't clogged but the PO valve was installed improperly. I laughed and just took a picture of it. I stopped laughing when the shower had 6 inches of standing water after a 10 minute shower. We left early and ate on the road.
