“Roxanne Hale Stay”

The Days Inn in Thibodaux Louisiana had staffing problems during my stay and consequently my room wasn't cleaned on the second day. I had prepaid for a two night stay. The staff came by at about 10a and picked up towels and returned at 1p. At that time, she gave me towels and I asked if someone was going to clean my room. She told me that someone had called in, I didn't think anything about that statement and left. When I returned at 6p, I called the front desk and asked if someone was going to clean my room. They said that they had noone to clean it so I asked to be moved to a clean room. The clerk relayed this request to the manager and that manager said no. I then requested that either my room be cleaned or I move to another room. At that time the manager got onto the phone and stated " I can be very rough." I took great offense to this comment and I felt threatened. I got my purse and keys and started to proceed into the hallway, by that time the manager was coming down the hallway. I asked if he was the manager and I screamed at him that I wanted to be moved or get my money back. He screamed at me and told me that I wasn't going to be refunded any money. The police were called and I was asked to leave without receiving a refund. The most interesting part of this is that this is the worst customer service that I have ever received. A little niceness and apology would have gone a long way. For instance, the manager might have said Mam, I apologize for my staffing shortage on today - these are the things that I can do - I will empty your garbage and bring you fresh linens for your bed and bring in vacuum for your floor. Instead this manager refused to provide the service that I believed is customary at a hotel and also choose to keep my money. No need to say, don't stay at that Days Inn.
