“Poor Stay”

  , Waite
My two granddaughters were staying in the Bangor area for the basketball tourney. It was the worse stay ever. At 1:30 in the morning we were awakened by loud tv, women talking, and constant noise. It was an adjoining room that mad all the noise loader. Both nights the girls were awakened. After about an hour the noise subsided and we were able to go back to sleep. I'm assuming these were working women since it was during the week. On the last night, we were awakened by drunk young adults arguing and fighting in the hallway in front of our room. This was at 1:40 after the bar close. This lasted about an hour and I actually went over across to the room and asked them to quiet down. I told them I understand their having fun, but please keep it in their. To make a long story short, the Bangor Police Department showed up. They tried to get the man to come out of the room, knocking, banging on the door, but he wouldn't come out. This lasted for another 2 hours finally around 4 am or shortly after, the guy came out. Needless to say, my granddaughters were frightened, they didn't know what was going on. They weren't able to fall back to sleep until early morning. I understand that people are going to be unpredictable but if you have little children they need to be in rooms away from these kind of situations. I stay at Days because the girls like the pool, and the rooms have always been clean. I'm not sure if I will book there again!
