“Need more responsive staff.”

We arrived late and were tired. The room smelled musty, but we figured it just may have been closed up and needed the A/C going to help out. We also knew we were going to be gone most of each day. The phone didn't work; the wall switch didn't turn on the light; it took five to ten tries to get the light over the sink to come on. I went up to the office to tell the person there about the phone. He said he would check on it. I had wanted a wakeup call. He said he would leave a note to the person coming in to knock on our door at 6:30 a.m. if the phone was still not working. That didn't happen. Fortunately my little alarm clock did work (I wanted the wakeup call for insurance.) Before we left that morning, my husband put our three problems in writing and left the note at the front desk. Nothing happened to fix any of the three problems. No one contacted us to apologize or to tell us that they were working on the problem. Nothing. The problem with the switch for the light over the sink seemed to be the possibility of a short in the line or the switch which can be a fire hazard. Anyway, when we left I told the person at the desk about our problems. He did apologize. I thought he said something about a work order had been issued to address the problem, but my hearing is not as good as it used to be. I thought to myself that he should have knocked a little off our bill for these problems not being addressed. I did tell him that morning that he should air out that room. The musty smell never really went away.
