“Wishing for a better stay”

  , Chesapeake
Upon my check-in , we went to our room . It was very cold and I immediately turned on the heating unit . ( It did not work ) , I immediately called the front desk and the attendant asigned us to another room . ( I had asked for a non smoking room and the attendant put us in a Smoking room . At approx . 2 AM my wife and myself could not sleep due to the horrific smell of tobacco , but we managed to stay the rest of the evening in the second room ;Immediately upon awakening I contactde the desk attendant and they assigned us another room . This time the room was fine , However that evening at approx , midnight the adjoining room residents were apparently entertaining guests and were extreemly loud , so loud in fact that my wife had to beat on the wall of our room to get the residents to be qiuet . I reported this to the Desk attendant and asked to see the resident manager . He would not let me speak to the manager and offered me a 10% discount on my first nights stay . I told him absolutely not , and he stepped away from the desk and spoke to ( I suppose ) the manager , who then told me thru the desk attendant that she woul;d allow me a 50% discount on the First night stay and that was all she was going to do . I had no choice but to accept this as some sort of recompense and left . This was to say the least a terrible stay , and I will look elsewhere for accomodations in the future . I will not recommend this or any other Day's Inn to anyone now or in the future . Absolutely horrible Stay ;
