First, the positives: The location provides fairly good access to MIT/Harvard and decent access to Boston. If you don't rent a car then expect a Bus & Train commute, but it's not bad. My room seemed clean enough. There is a Chinese restaurant on-site, which is actually beneficial because there are very few dining options nearby. The negatives: I interacted with 4 or 5 members of the staff, and two of them were flat-out rude. Not casual rude, but [--] rude. Maybe it's a Boston/Northeast thing, but if you pull that crap in the south you will be out of a job.Next problem, it didn't feel particularly safe. Walking into the back door of the hotel around 8:30pm and there were police w/canine units in the Days Hotel parking garage/lot. They were in the process of rounding up/arresting ~6 or 7 older teenagers.Next Up: Wireless internet access was glacial in speed. Don't expect to use the internet. Hell, don't expect to check your emails. Opening your browser will take 5 minutes.Last item, and this is the main reason I won't return...There is no ESPN in the rooms. WTF??? If the management can't/won't spring for the extended cable package then what else are they skimping on? Washing the sheets?I travel for business. Boston was BOOKED during my stay, so reasonable hotel options were very limited. But next time I will spend the extra $100 a night and stay somewhere else. No ESPN...it's like living in the dark ages!
