“WAY over priced!”

  , Sault Sainte Marie
This is a very old hotel in need of serious updating. It is hard to believe the price they charge actually. There are several very nice chain hotels in the same area that I am sure are not charging more than this Days inn. They do accept pets in this hotel and guests need to beware which room they are placed in. We traveled with friends who were in a room that smelled like old urine. Interestingly I heard guests from two doors down complaining of the same thing. The hotel was very noisy the two days we were there with different sporting groups making this their lodging. You could hear everything going on upstairs. It was very hard to regulate the temp in our room which was a King size suite. It was freezing when we arrived and then about 85 in the room by evening. We had to open a window to cool it down (in November) and had to leave it open a crack throughout the night. Bathroom was the size of a small closet. Pool was very small and filled with rowdy children. Carpets were in serious need of cleaning. Staff was very friendly and helpful. High speed internet was pretty good and not too slow. Located between Perkins Restaurant and Hudson's Restaurant. Parking is very awkward. I would not stay here again, especially for this price.
