“Could've been better”

This was supposed to be a fun getaway with my children. One last little treat before school started back. We arrived at the location, ready to get to our room and just relax after our 4 hour car ride. We checked in and quickly noticed a mildew smell. My youngest child had to use the bathroom and started complaining that his feet were wet. Sure enough, not only was the bathroom floor flooded, the carpet leading into the bathroom was also soaking wet. Great! So I went back to the front desk to let them know. And while they quickly found us another room, the desk clerk was less than sympathetic. So on to room #2, but the front desk had forgotten to activate the keys. Again, no apologies. No flooded carpets and also no wifi. I then called the front desk only to get the same surly front desk clerk. I then found the manager, who after apologizing, offered to reset the router to see if that might help. It didn't. Our second night, while I was in the shower, the bathroom light went out. The very next morning I let the front desk know the problem. I explained that we would be out of the room most of the day, so the problem could be fixed. We returned late that afternoon, but still no bathroom light. Back to the front desk! I wanted a new room, but there was none available. The same surly desk clerk was there, and I over heard him telling someone on the phone..."Yeah, they're insisting on having light in the bathroom". Wow! Is that really an unreasonable demand? Anyway, another room was found. So after 3 rooms in 2 nights, we were finally satisfied.
