“do not stay here”

  , San Diego
I booked this hotel through hotels.com and paid for it ahead of time, but when I checked in they charged me $20 per day because my son is older than 13. When I complained about it the staff told me that I do not have to stay there, even though they know I had already paid through hotels.com and that it was 10 pm on a Friday on memorial weekend. When we were going to our room, there were people in the hallways smoking in front of our room. The comforters and towel were old with holes in them. The cabinet that housed the tv was all faded and scratched, almost falling apart. The bed was hard and the pillow was flat. On our second night there were people hanging out in front our room, smoking and the kids were running around screaming at 1 am. They were also talking loud and playing loud music. For breakfast there wasn't any food left at 9:30 am except donuts and they ran out of bater for the waffles. You get what you pay for then they try to stiff you some more.
