“UPSET!”

 
Promised a downstairs room!!! Checked in very early and even at that, we were told none were available. Interestingly, there were never more than 4 cars in the entire parking lot the whole evening. How could a ground floor room not be available? We even called that morning and specifically asked for a downstairs room to go ahead be assigned and that we were on our way. We have special needs and are unable to climb the stairs; this did not matter to the person working the front desk, as she was clueless that we requested a 1st floor room. After my wife spoke to the lady, she did say that there was one room but it had a double bed....my reservations were for a non-smoking king...well we went to the room after we checked in and guess what....the room was not even clean. We were forced to take an upstairs room and suffer the consequences that evening and the next day. We have stayed at this hotel on several occasions; however, I am not so sure on any future stays. We were so upset that we did not even stay for breakfast. What good does it do to have a reservation and then be completely ignored. This hotel has put a bad taste in my mouth and we do travel a lot. I did check out the area and there are other hotels in this area that seems willing to work with people. I also tried to give the person my travel rewards number and they were unable to find us in the system.
