“Horrible”

This place was disguisting. The motel lobby smelled of musk and cigarettes. I was charged on hotels.com $20 more than the room was going for that night. When I asked the owner about this he just smiled and said the prices fluctuate, he stated that he could not control what hotels.com charged me. (Hotels.com had a different opinion) Once I went into the room, I noticed hairs and stains on the bedspread!!!! And hairs on the toilet seat and in the shower. There was a fly in the room. The room was GROSS!!! I would have stayed somewhere else but it was the weekend before the 4th of July and there were no other rooms available in the area. That night we did not leave the room after dark, it did not seem like a safe area. The next morning I went to the pool with my 9 year old daughter. The water was soo cloudy that you could not see more than 3 inches deep into it. We, along with all other guests, did not go swimming that morning. We did not eat the free breakfast because the evening before when we checked in I noticed that half of the cereal had fallen out of the dispensing container and just sat on the counter. I have no doubt this cereal was just placed back in the container. The place was so gross that after breakfast I noticed a HUGE cockroach lying on the windowsill of the breakfast area, half alive/half dead. Both times I went to the front desk, there was no one there. An alarm would sound, then I had to wait several minutes before someone would come from outside. This was a horrible place. Do not book, unless you want to sleep in a smokey-roach infested motel on someone else's filthy sheets.
